@TEMPLATE crm -DONATE -- VIEW-ON-SITE -- Autumn Edition Wilderness News -- TOP-IMAGE -- https://supporter.wilderness.org.au/view.image?Id=630 -- HEADER -- {{PRIMARY-SALUTATION}}, conversations for conservation -- CONTENT --
Community organising is all about having conversations to transform the way Australia’s nature and climate is protected. In this edition of Wilderness News, you’ll get an indepth look into our new community organising training program: Movement For Life

Thanks to members and supporters like you, we’re growing our movement by empowering everyday Australians to create real change in their communities.

Movement For Life is built on the premise that people having real conversations influences social change. It’s about building power, conversation by conversation, and using shared values (like a love for nature or a passion for sustainability for example) to connect people to the campaigns that protect Australia’s nature and climate. It’s conversations for conservation.

One of our dedicated community organisers, Freya, after completing both an advanced and a train-the-trainer program, now helps to deliver the Movement For Life training program in Melbourne.

She told us, “I feel such an extreme sense of frustration and sadness that ‘the powers that be’ don’t prioritise the environment, which is our home. I wanted to participate because it's too frustrating doing nothing.”

The people who are joining the program are just like you; they want change, they want to make a difference, and they want the tools and skills to know how to do it. You and your friends can <a #A href="https://www.wilderness.org.au/events/movement-life">join Movement For Life right now by signing up for our next training program. We’d love to meet you in person!

Movement For Life exists because we believe that all Australians deserve a safe climate and healthy natural world to live in. When we work as one, through thousands of conversations, anything is possible.

<a #BUTTON href="https://www.wilderness.org.au/sites/default/files/Misc/tws_wilderness_news_autumn_2017.pdf">Read Wilderness News

Koalas get crushed as their trees are dragged down by chains, or are hit by cars as they attempt to flee. If they survive the bulldozers, they can still starve because their homes have been demolished.

This is part of the chain of destruction caused by large-scale deforestation. In Queensland alone, a MCG-sized area is cleared every three minutes. Please will you donate today to help break the bulldozers’ chains?

<a #BUTTON href="https://supporter.wilderness.org.au/chain">Donate today
