Stop Australia's land clearing crisis

Dear ,

Did you know Australia is one of the worst countries in the world for bulldozing and clearing land?

Forests are the natural environment for our native species, they provide us with clean water and air.

, forests are our tool against climate change. Australia has some of the most carbon dense forests in the world and if we continue to sacrifice them, then we’re not fulfilling our pledge to overcome climate change.

Stop Land Clearing

In the last three years, Queensland alone has lost over 850,000 hectares of native forest due to land clearing. And it’s taking its toll...

Currently:

  • Around 20% of Australian mammals, 7% of reptiles and 13% of birds are listed as Extinct, Endangered or Vulnerable.
  • More than 100 species have become extinct in New South Wales in the last 200 years.
  • 1,700 animal and plant species are at risk of extinction, including the koala.

Giant chains are being dragged across the land behind huge bulldozers, intent on destruction. They are tearing down the trees, killing our native wildlife and releasing tonnes of carbon emissions into the atmosphere.

, please help me in this fight against land clearing by making a donation of $43 today. Thank you.
